My finale Ident was changed a bit from it’s planning because I was inspired to make my pumpkin named Punkin like a Halloween version of a Tamagotchi. I kept my main original idea of the ident but I then developed and expanded so it would get more then a pass.

I went about making my ident by using just a pen tool of motion to draw and colour in my pumpkin this was a bit of a challenge to do because drawing with a mouse is different to drawing with your hand with a pen or if on the computer a digital tablet. I then started to draw the animation parts of the face that would changeover time. This was when I had finished but decided I wasn’t trying and could do better. So I went back to the beginning and I added a key frame and changed the scale of my animation. Then I made key frames to make look the movement of a Tamagotchi was jumping across the screen. But the way it moved didn’t seem right so I changed the interpolations to constant copied the movement and copied and then pasted it all the way through my animation.  I looked on Sound Track Pro to hear sounds to get me ideas what to do I found a sound what sounded like the attention sound when the Tamagotchi needs attending to and a bleeping sounds that sounded similar to the evolving/growing up sound so I did that. First I draw the dung going to toilet and then I started to draw the wave that comes along when you clean up a Tamagotchi’s mess. When I done I wave I moved it off screen so u couldn’t see it a gradually bought it on and off screen again. I did this by pressing the record playing it a few frames pausing it and moving the wave along. I had to shorten the dung’s length of time so it looked like the wave washed it away. Later on I kept changing the opacity from 100% to 0% to look like the screen was blinking for the evolving. I changed the colour of Punkin using a colour correction filter and made it start from the second blink.

Before I did a small animation that was going to be the logo for my animation but I never finished it but the way I did the animation was different because I drawn the character then Jim scanned it onto the computer when on Photoshop and made liners darker and I changed the colour of it then we saved and opened it on motion and I only used a filter to have fire burning eyes. But trying to different ways of drawing I can say that drawing it by hand first and then scanning it in is a lot easier and quicker to do.

There is also a old animation of a of a face I did when we were told just to have a play around with motion, you can see how much more I have learned and got better at using it.

My strengths were that I had a lot of creativity when thinking up ideas for the ident. My weakness was when using the pen tool to colour in my pumpkin I weren’t a lot of small lines and so that meant I had to do a lot more lines to colour in punkin and then I had more information on motion that made it slow down.

Ok this is my little tamagotchi, he has a bit of a temper. ^-^
